A TOP ally of self-imposed Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) secretary general, Sengezo Tshabangu, has distanced himself from plans to support a motion calling for constitutional amendments to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term of office.
A leaked document showed that Zanu PF MPs are working with Tshabangu’s CCC to push a motion in parliament to amend the constitution.
The motion will be moved by Energy Mutodi and seconded by Tshabangu’s Chief Whip, Charles Moyo.
Moyo said he was never part of any discussions with Zanu-PF to support the motion to extend Mnangagwa’s tenure from 2028 to 2030.
